Takedown and Reporting

Effective 13 July 2026

Takedown and Reporting

We want Mixer to be safe and lawful. This policy explains how to report content, how we handle reports, and our commitments for the most serious categories. It forms part of our Terms of Service and works together with our Acceptable Use Policy.

How to report content

If you believe content on Mixer is unlawful, infringes your rights, or breaks our Acceptable Use Policy, report it:

  • use the Report option on the content where available; or
  • email us at report@mixer.app.

Please include a link to the content, what the problem is, and how to reach you. If you are reporting because you hold the rights (for example a copyright or trademark owner), please also confirm that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.

Non-consensual intimate imagery (priority removal)

We prohibit intimate or sexual imagery of a real, identifiable person shared without their consent, including AI-generated or "deepfake" imagery. If you are the person shown, or their authorised representative, report it at report@mixer.app with the subject line "NCII removal".

We treat these reports as urgent. Once we receive a valid request, we will remove the reported content within 48 hours and make reasonable efforts to remove any known identical copies. You do not need to identify every copy yourself.

Illegal content

We act to remove illegal content when we become aware of it. You can report suspected illegal content using the options above, and we will assess it promptly, remove it where appropriate, and, where the law requires, report it to the relevant authorities. We keep our approach to illegal content under review and describe the protections we provide in our Acceptable Use Policy.

Copyright and other intellectual property

If you believe content infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property, send a report to report@mixer.app that identifies the work, the infringing content, and your contact details, and confirms you are the rights holder or authorised to act. We will review it, remove or disable access to infringing content where appropriate, and may notify the user who posted it. We may reinstate content if it is shown not to be infringing.

How we handle reports

  • We review reports and decide what action to take, which may include removing content, limiting a feature, or suspending or terminating an account.
  • We aim to acknowledge reports quickly and to act within the timeframes the law requires. Serious categories, such as non-consensual intimate imagery and child protection, are handled as a priority.
  • If you disagree with a decision we make about your content or account, you can appeal by replying to our decision or writing to report@mixer.app, and we will review it.

Misuse of reporting

Please only submit reports you believe are genuine. Submitting false or bad-faith reports may itself breach our Acceptable Use Policy.
