Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 13 July 2026

Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out what you may and may not do with Mixer. It forms part of, and uses the same defined terms as, our Terms of Service. We can remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that breach this Policy. Where content is unlawful, we may report it to the relevant authorities.

Because Mixer generates content using third-party AI models, your use also has to comply with those model providers' own acceptable-use and content policies. This Policy is designed to sit alongside them, not replace them.

You must not use Mixer to create, upload, publish, or remix content that:

Sexual content and child protection

  • is child sexual abuse material, or sexualises, endangers, or exploits anyone under 18, whether real or synthetic;
  • is pornographic or sexually explicit;
  • is intimate or sexual imagery of a real, identifiable person created or shared without their consent (this includes AI-generated or "deepfake" intimate imagery, which is prohibited and, in many places, unlawful).

Real people and likeness

  • depicts a real, identifiable person in a false or misleading way, or in a way that violates their privacy, publicity, or likeness rights;
  • impersonates a real person or entity, or is intended to deceive people about who created or endorsed the content.

Mixer generates human characters synthetically. You must not attempt to use the Service to recreate the likeness of a specific real person, including a public figure or celebrity, or to bypass any safeguard that prevents this.

Harm, hate, and illegality

  • is unlawful, or promotes, facilitates, or instructs others in unlawful activity;
  • harasses, bullies, threatens, or incites violence against any person or group;
  • promotes hatred or discrimination on the basis of a protected characteristic;
  • depicts or glorifies terrorism, extreme violence, or self-harm;
  • infringes anyone's intellectual property, including copyright, trademark, or design rights.

Deception and regulated categories

  • is fraudulent, or promotes scams, deceptive, or misleading commercial practices;
  • makes false or unsubstantiated claims, or advertises in a regulated category (for example health, medicines, finance, gambling, or alcohol) in a way that breaks the law or the advertising rules that apply to it;
  • spreads disinformation intended to deceive the public on civic, electoral, or public-health matters.

Rights and permissions

  • uses Inputs you do not have the right to use, including third-party images, brands, logos, music, or footage;
  • you do not otherwise have all rights and permissions needed to create, use, or publish.

Platform integrity

You must not:

  • attempt to disable, bypass, or interfere with any safety filter, rate limit, or other protection in the Service;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach any security measure, without our written permission;
  • use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service in a way that is not permitted by us;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own product without our agreement;
  • use the Service to build a competing model or dataset.

Your responsibility for what you create

You are responsible for the content you make with Mixer and for how you use it, including making sure it complies with the laws and the platform policies that apply wherever you publish it. If you use Mixer for advertising or marketing, you are also the advertiser, and you are responsible for making sure your content is truthful, is properly substantiated, and complies with the advertising laws, codes, and platform policies (for example Meta, TikTok, or YouTube) that apply.

All content made with Mixer is generated by artificial intelligence. When you publish or share your content, you are responsible for disclosing that it is AI-generated wherever the law or the platform requires it.

Enforcement

We may act on a breach of this Policy in any way we consider appropriate, including removing content, limiting features, suspending or terminating your account, and reporting to the authorities. We do not pre-screen all content, but we act on reports and on content we become aware of. You can report content under our Takedown and Reporting policy.
